Here's an insight into Natalie and what makes her tick...
I am a recruitment consultant that specialises in the Java market here at Circuit. I work as part of a team that identify amazing roles within the Java space (both backend and full stack) and then fill those roles with amazingly talented Java developers looking for the next step in their career. Whether you’re a client or candidate of mine I pride myself on my customer services skills, ensuring I always provide a timely, honest, and enjoyable experience for everyone I work with.
The culture & environment! I am surrounded by fun loving, energetic and like-minded people who are always willing to collaborate and most of all have fun together. There’s nothing like rocking up to the office in the morning and seeing everyone’s smiling face or attending a quarterly celebration with the Circuit team. The environment gives me the freedom to practice recruitment in a way that aligns to my values as a human, rather than a money grabbing machine. At Circuit, I feel like I’m given the space and freedom as well as the guidance to help people with honesty, transparency & integrity.
I don’t typically like to blow my own horn when it comes to this sort of thing and some of the achievements I’m most proud of consist of receiving feedback from candidates and clients who’ve had positive experiences with me. In saying this though, breaking the company’s resourcing record in my first quarter of working with Circuit felt like an amazing feat. Straight off the bat, I was provided with expert training and support to be able to not only achieve my goals, but also surpass them. In that first quarter, I managed to set the benchmark for myself and learn more than I ever thought was possible.
Be tenacious and work with recruiters that you can develop a trusting relationship with. Tenacity will take you a long way in your job search. I’ve seen candidates who have gone through the process with upwards of five companies and each and every time they interview, they are able to take what they’ve learned, improve and build their confidence and before you know it, they’ve got an offer. The key is not to give up and surround yourself with support, some of which can come from working with the right recruiters. Build a network of recruiters that you trust and can get quality advice from, having these connections will be invaluable as you navigate your career as we hold the keys to open the most exciting doors for you.
COVID has given me the perfect opportunity to hone in on my favorite hobbies which consist of, singing, makeup, nail art, water color painting, cooking (and spending my money on fancy cooking equipment) as well as, managing my family dogs Instagram account (follow @thatssoroman_ for loads of cuteness)! If you want to get me going on a tangent, then feel free to bring up music too, I’m always curious to know what other people listen to.
Transparency – I resonate with this value so much because I’ve always lived my life by being honest and authentic and it’s my experience of life has always been so vibrant and positive when I live this way. I think when you’re transparent you have the best chance of helping people through building trusting relationships. The core of what I want to achieve is to help candidates and clients achieve their end goal in the most efficient and enjoyable way possible, keeping it real is the best way to do that in my opinion.
